We found out at 3:30 Monday afternoon that we were able to get a couple extra days off work... so we decided to make a surprise visit to my family in MI. We hit the road at 12:30am and drove 17 hours. We have been having a blast. My family was shocked! Happy 4th of July :)

Hi Lindsey, I'm a blogging friend of your Mom's and dropped in for a visit. I also share your love of photography and am very impressed with the pictures you captured on the 4th! I had wanted to try my hand at capturing fireworks this year...however, we've had so much rain we decided not to brave the weather. Your Mom was SO EXCITED to have you and Beto home for a visit. What a great gift you gave your family. Our 21 year old lives in PA and we are here in Texas...so we are sadly aware of how difficult it is to be so far away from family. Did you take these pics with your new Nikon digital? I've enjoyed looking at several of your pics that your Mom shares on her blog. You have a nice style and talent. Keep up the good work!
